Do U social scientists continue to perceive Race as a mere 'social construct'?

even if it obviously so there are such things as races within the Sapiens species. For example, who do Neg-roids from Africa have black skin & tight curly hair, meanwhile East Asians tend to be shorter & more skinny,generally speaking. So why is it social scientists are afraid to dare ask what makes us different from 1 another,even if it may violate our sense of political correctness.
