Recovery from a laparoscopic ventral rectopexy surgery?

I had the above procedure (keyhole surgery for a prolapsed bowel) 9 days ago and dont feel I have made much progress in the recovery. I cannot do much at all and return to bed several times a day. I thought keyhole surgery meant a much quicker recovery?? Has someone had a similar experience that can help please?
