MEET THE BROWNS!!!!!!?

For anybody who watches the show on tbs meet the browns, i have a few questions that i cant follow. Why did they change the actress for brianna? the other one was so much better. Why does Cora call her dad Mr. Brown instead of dad? And does jesus live with the browns? Thank you in advance! =D
